เจ.เค.โรว์ลิง นักประพันธ์สาวเจ้าของผลงานแฮร์รี พ็อตเตอร์อันลือลั่น ได้เปิดเผยว่าเธอได้เขียนเล่มสุดท้ายของนิยายสุดดังในชื่อตอนว่า Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows เสร็จสิ้นไปเมื่อ 3 สัปดาห์ก่อน ในห้องที่บอลโมรอลโรงแรมหรู 5 ดาวในสก็อตแลนด์ ซึ่งแขกหลายคนที่เช่าห้องต่อจากเธอเผยว่าเจ.เค.ได้ทิ้งข้อความเอาไว้ที่หลังรูปปั้นหินอ่อนด้วยปากกาสีดำมีใจความว่า

"เจ.เค.โรว์ลิง เขียน Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows จบในห้องนี้ (652) เมื่อวันที่ 11 ม.ค. 2007"

โดยข้อความทางเว็บไซต์ของเธอรายงานว่าผลงานชิ้นสุดท้ายของพ่อมดน้อยเล่มนี้จะออวางแผงให้แฟนๆ ได้ติดตามกันในตอน 00.01 น.ของวันที่ 21 ก.ค. ที่จะถึงนี้

สำนักพิมพ์บลูมสบิวรี ตัวแทนจัดจำหน่ายในสหราชอาณาจักร เผยว่าจะจัดจำหน่ายทั้งแบบปกแข็งสำหรับเด็ก, ปกแข็งสำหรับผู้ใหญ่, แบบสเปเชียล กิฟต์ เอดิชัน และแบบหนังสือออดิโอ บู๊ค ในวันเดียวกัน
